My heart hurts

My heart hurts today because of the recent attack on the church via a slanderous and dishonest ad from those who oppose traditional marriage. I'm not sure that I can say more without getting too upset and remembering that Christ wants us to love our enemies and turn the other cheek. While it hurts and is completely unjust, I'm not surprised. We have been hunted under an extermination order in the past because of our beliefs, so I believe we can stand up to this without wavering.
Tolerance goes both ways. Truth will prevail.
(Now I will step down off of my soapbox and become meek and naive housewife.)

Paul told me about that ad. He also forwarded the link so I could watch it myself, but I don't think I am going to. Just knowing it is out there makes me sick to my stomach. It makes me sad. The adversary is working so hard. We already knew that. Somehow though it doesn't make it any easier. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I saw that too. It was awful and I was so upset, until I heard that the Catholic and other churchs came out denouncing it, then I found out it was made by an excomunicated member of the Church. I sure don't want to be in his shoes in Heaven. If he makes it.

That video is ridiculous. It doesn't even make any sense!

I think most people will see through this (these guys make a bunch of super left winged inflammatory videos) or not even see it at all. I guess what bothers me is that they're trying to intimidate us and make an example of us to other's who might oppose them in the future. That just inspires me that much more.
