Hiking with the family

Sorry for the long absence. I've been feeling a little under the weather (what does that mean, anyway?)
So... I thought I'd post this picture of us hiking in our lovely town. It's a pretty good view of where we live, except the hills are a beautiful Irish green now because of the great rain we have had.

I also like this picture because if I were a famous movie star, there would be a big arrow pointing to my tummy with a caption reading "Baby bump???"

And then my publicist would have to issue a statement saying, "No, Kate is not with child."

Don't you just love how that tabloids think a celebrity is having a baby when their tummies look like they have eaten a sandwich?

Mine always looks like that...

i hope you feel "over the weather" soon. i hate under the weather feelings. that picture made me think of college days when i would walk/run up that thing every single day. man i was in shape, pretty sure you'd have to pull me up in a little red wagon these days!

I looked it up and under the weather is a British navy term. When a sailor was ill, he had to stay below the weathering deck of the ship in his bunk, so they said that they were "under the weather".

here's a link to a bunch of fun etymologies.

Nice picture taking Briggy!! And at least the "baby bump?" beats the "GUESS WHO?!?!?" with the pictures of the poor women's legs not looking their finest.

I love that picture of you guys! It's so...real. The look on the kids faces, etc. Did Briggy take the picture?

I'm so glad you took your family hiking, but I'm sorry you have not been feeling really well. It's not fun to deal with noisy kids when all you want to do is hibernate. Leave it up to a Hallows to look up what "Under the weather" means. You family is something else!

Ummm...i dream of having your "baby bump" instead of mine!

I remember when Brigg and Caleb wore that same Old Navy shirt together and I just pulled it out for Davis and he wore it a few days ago!

I miss beautiful hikes in SLO! And those walks through the hilly campus. Didn't appreciate what good shape I was in back then. Now I get asked if I'm pregnant if I forget to suck it in, ha.
