Packing up

Peace, out, SLO...

After 15 years, it's time to say good-bye to SLO. Although I'm learning I'm not good at saying good-bye. I feel like all the right things have to be said, and all the right gestures made. And I worry that I'm not going to do it right, so sometimes I just don't do it at all!

But after a year of waiting for the other shoe to drop, and 4 month of packing and living apart from Brian, it's finally time to get this show on the road!

All the shoes have dropped.

Our home here is rented.

Our new rental home is waiting for us up north.

We still don't know where the kids are going to school.

But we are ready to finally go.

These past few weeks, there have been a lot of good-byes from all of our wonderful friends here. When Brian returned from up north to get the house all packed up, it signaled the end of 4 long months of living on opposite ends of the state. To make it even more meaningful, we celebrated our 12th anniversary the same weekend.

It's all bittersweet. We are sad to leave, but ready to start the next chapter of our lives.

Most of our boxes have been customized by the Rober boys and their trusty Sharpies!
