My Kids Rock!

Here is a little clip of Ty receiving a special award for his reading at school. He's the only kindergartner at the school who gets to take AR (reading) quizzes on the computer at the school, and apparently, he's the only one to receive not just one, but 3 levels of awards. All 3 of the kids received awards that day. I was a pretty proud mama! (Even though that wasn't me chuckling or wooting on camera. I was quietly holding the camera- until the principle asked me to bring Ty to school on special lanyard days, then I nodded my head...and the camera...)

Harry Potter Tote

 Briggs wanted a scripture tote that had room for his scriptures and other necessities he might need at church (like gum?). So I made a Harry Potter scripture tote for him.

 I used this stencil and this pattern for the tote, which I modified for size and a few other things.

Briggs helped me pick out this button, because it looked like the Gryffindor seal.

Groundhogs Day

The kids and Brian made me a birthday cake. Chocolate cake with chocolate filling, with chocolate frosting and chocolate icing...and pink and pearly sprinkles.
